What kind of photographer are you?

I’m a lifestyle photographer. Lifestyle photography is a gently posed session of natural and loving interaction. The goal is to capture the small details in a beautiful way, and to create a collection of treasured moments.

What will my session be like?

We will get a tradtional shot of everyone looking at the camera near the beginning of the shoot, but the rest of the session will be a relaxed atmosphere of simple actions. My main goal is not get a perfect picture of everyone looking at the camera, but to get loving interaction with everyone looking at each other. Get ready for lots of tender, close, snuggly shots. I will usually be bouncing around placing you where I want you to stand, asking you to give gentle kisses to your kids and spouse, moving hands, etc.

We will get individual portraits of your children, the whole family together, siblings together, Mom and Dad together, and more. After the main poses are done, we’ll just play and get fun shots. If you have a toddler that tends to be fussy during the shoot, no worries! We’ll just keep him close to Mom for love and security, getting some shots of him looking over her shoulder, and shots of her holding him close, which result in some tender images.

I love to shoot details such as hands, hair, eyelashes. Many times, the children won’t be looking at the camera, and the pictures can take on more of a documentary look, photographing them just as they are; beautiful souls.

How do I book a session?

A non refundable retainer of $50 needs to be paid online to hold your spot. I will email you an invoice. The retainer is part of your session fee, with the remaining balance to be paid the week of your session.

How long will my session be?

45 minutes to an hour. I have a flow of poses I will do with you, and I like to go fast to work with little ones and their short window of attention.

What happens if the weather acts up?

In Las Vegas, we can get some very windy days, and those few rainy ones as well. You will be notified 24 hours before your shoot, and we simply will reschedule your session. Overcast days can still work for pictures, but will result in a different edited looked as opposed to sunny days. It is up to you if you’d like to reschedule for a sunny day that will give better light for portraits.

Where will my session be held?

We will discuss locations for your shoot via email. I will send you a page with all the locations I regularly shoot at with photo examples from previous sessions to give visual examples. Due to the high permit prices required for photographers, I do not shoot at Redrock, Calico Basin, Spring Mt Ranch, or The Neon Boneyard.

Will I get the digital photos from my session?

Yes! I edit 40+ pictures artistically in color with black and white copies of each image. I do not give out the raw, unedited files.

How long will it take to receive your images?

You will receive your images within 2 week after your session.

How do you deliver the images?

I will send you a link to an online gallery that is password protected for privacy where you can download files. I encourage you to back up your files immediately, either on an external hard drive or an online storage source.
